A Landfill capping Landfill Capping is the most common form of remediation because it is generally less expensive than other technologies and effectively manages the human and environmental risks connected with a remediation place. That being said, the process of capping is still very expensive. Our goal as SCI is to deliver a method by which you will be able to complete a landfill capping project for much less than one would normally expect.

The landfill capping process normally requires one of two options, The first is the importation of soil that will meet the requirements of low permeability. the second is the placing of impermeable landfill liners over fill soil.

 

 Landfill capping with Soils Control International is an entirely different procedure. By utilizing the soils that are available at the site, the customer is able to eliminate the need for importing material low permeability soils. The method is simple, when a landfill capping project is being performed. The customer will simply spray Top-Seal onto the soil that is natural to the landfill. Once the Top-Seal has penetrated the soil, the soil is compacted. This compaction along with Top-Seal reduces the permeability of the soil by several factors. Bringing the soil beyond the needed 10-5 cm/sec. 

Landfill capping with Top-seal requires only that the soils be compactable and that Top-Seal is applied at a prescribed rate determined by SCI. You no longer need to bring in low permeability clay or line the surface with expensive geo-textile liners. Top-Seal when applied properly will complete your landfill capping project on time and under budget every time when compared to Clay and Geo-Textile liners.
