Erosion Control from SCI
Erosion Control, is the practice of protecting the soils surface and the particles that makeup the total of the soil. Soils control International is able to improve erosion control by binding the upper level soil particles to an extent that will prevent them from being carriedaway, either by wind or water

Our product Top-Seal sits on the leading edge of technology for products specifically designed with dust control, road dust control, soil stabilization, erosion control and soil permeability enhancement as the end objective. Erosion Control Utilizing Soil Binding
is one of the most cost effective methods by which to enhance the soil and improve erosion control. The labor and time required to place Top-Seal as the erosion control media is a fraction of that required by using rolled erosion control mats. Erosion control mats require much labor to position and properly attach the mats in place After shaping the area to be controlled the mats require physical manipulation for proper alignment. The mats then require staking to prevent movement once water and or wind subject their forces upon them. You will need mats, stakes and many man hours to properly use erosion mats. With SCI Erosion Control Products
The procedure for erosion control is much simpler and more cost-effective. This is due to the cost of the material and more specifically the labor required to make the proper application. The majority of Top-Seal applications will require only the shaping of the area in question and then the application of the Top-Seal. Top-Seal is applied by simply spraying the water diluted material onto the surface of the area where erosion control is a problem. Depending on the application, the soil can be left as is after treating with Top-Seal, which will leave an erosion preventing crust on the surface, or it can be compacted for a stronger deeper impermeable erosion control surface.
Erosion Control your way
There are basically two types of erosion control scenarios. The first is a situation where it is desired to have an erosion control product which will allow for vegetation to penetrate the controlling media and thus becoming the primary method of controlling future erosion. In those cases the dilution rate is higher and the material is not compacted after the Top-Seal has been applied. This allows for complete control of the soil while at the same time allowing the vegetation to penetrate the erosion controlling crust. Some applications of this type will utilize the mixing of seed with the Top-Seal so that not only will we get the soil erosion media in place but also the desired vegetation at the same time.

These two scenarios for erosion control are the extremes. With variations in the dilution rate, application method and post application processing you can adjust your erosion control process to meet your needs.
